Setting Up Refinish and Materials Calculations

The Refinish feature provides the ability for you to enter thresholds for maximum clear coat hours and paint materials. Paint material threshold options include one, two, and three stage maximum dollar amounts.

When you set up refinish rules, they will be used when you create an estimate under that profile.

To set up refinishing rule options

1. Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
2. Select the claim office profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
3. Click on the Refinish link under Rules.
4. Select the Paint Supplies Rate Category type. (Paint & Materials or Paint Only).
5. Enter a Maximum Clear Coat Hours amount. The default is 2.5.
6. Enter or change the Maximum Paint Supplies $ value for each paint type. For no threshold, enter 9999.99 for each paint type. This applies to single-stage, two-stage, and three-stage paint supplies.
7. Select Maximum Hours or Actual Hours from the Calculate Clear Coat materials based on droplist.
8. Click Save or Save and Close.
